The tool features an AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating, which provides a hardness exceeding 3000 HV, an oxidation resistance temperature up to approximately 900°C, and significantly reduced friction compared to uncoated carbide, making it well-suited for dry or semi-dry machining of hardened steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. The 5-flute geometry and 3\/4 in shank diameter are designed for use in standard 3\/4 in ER, Weldon, or hydraulic toolholders, enabling high material removal rates with improved surface finish compared to 4-flute designs at equivalent feed rates.
