The H4 limit (pitch diameter range: +0.0005\" to +0.0020\" over basic) is chosen for threading harder materials or where tighter thread-class fits are required; it is manufactured to ASME B94.9 standards and produces a 2B class of fit. With 6 flutes on a 1-1\/4\" diameter body, this tap provides exceptional chip distribution and strength for hand tapping operations in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials.
