Grade 1025 is a CVD-coated cemented carbide in the Sandvik GC1025 family, featuring an Al₂O₃\/TiCN multilayer CVD coating over a tough substrate, optimized for steel (ISO P) at cutting speeds up to 710 SFM and hardened materials (ISO H, up to 60 HRC) at up to 120 SFM with a feed per tooth of 0.004 in (0.1 mm). The PL chipbreaker geometry provides a positive rake angle for light, low-force cutting, making these inserts well-suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes on steel components and hardened steels in CoroMill 200 toolholders.
