The AH630 grade is a CVD-coated cemented carbide in Tungaloy's AH series, featuring a TiCN\/Al₂O₃ multilayer coating with a black oxide top layer visible in the photos, designed for excellent crater and flank wear resistance on stainless steels and other difficult-to-cut materials. Per the Tungaloy packaging label, recommended cutting parameters for stainless steel are: feed rate f = 0.2–0.5 mm\/rev (0.008–0.020 ipr) and cutting speed Vc = 90–190 m\/min (300–620 sfm). This insert has an inscribed circle of 9.525 mm (3\/8 in), a thickness of 6.35 mm (1\/4 in, ANSI size 4), a nose radius of 1.2 mm (ANSI size 3 → \"12\"), and a central through-hole for screw-on toolholder clamping; compatible with standard DDJNR\/DDJNL and MDJNR\/MDJNL style toolholders accepting DNMG 15 series inserts.
