2B 4RVP5 Grade 2H 1-1/2"-6 Plain Steel 40 Pack Heavy Hex Nut

This is a new 40-piece pack of Grade 2H heavy hex nuts, Grainger item number 4RVP5, manufactured to ASTM A194/A194M standard for use with high-strength bolts in structural, pressure vessel, and heavy flange applications. Each nut features a 1-1/2"-6 UNC (Unified National Coarse) thread, 2-3/8 in. across-flats hex width, and 1-15/32 in. height — the heavy hex dimensional series per ASME B18.2.2, which provides greater bearing area and wall thickness than standard hex nuts. Material is plain (uncoated) medium-carbon steel with a black oxide/mill finish as visible in the photos; the "2H" grade marking is clearly stamped on the nut face, confirming compliance with ASTM A194 Grade 2H proof load and hardness requirements (Rockwell C24–36, proof load stress 175,000 psi). The manufacturer mark "EMP" is visible on the top face, consistent with a Korean-manufactured fastener per the Grainger package label ("Made in: Korea, Republic of").
