This is a new 3/4" bore, Size E HSS (High Speed Steel) keyway broach set, as labeled on the blue plastic storage case visible in the photos. The broach is designed to cut a standard inch-series keyway in a 3/4" bore using an arbor press or hydraulic press, following the push-broaching method. The set includes the main broach — a multi-tooth, progressive-cut HSS bar with a square shank pull end — along with five shim (spacer) plates that allow the broach to be used across multiple passes to achieve the full keyway depth. Size E designation corresponds to the ANSI/AGMA standard keyway width for a 3/4" bore, which is 3/16" wide keyway. The oxide-black finish on the shims and the broach body provides corrosion resistance during storage and use.
