This is a new Allied Machine & Engineering ASC 320 solid carbide drill, part number 335E03680A21M, with a diameter of 0.3680 in (9.350 mm) and a 3.5xD flute length, made in the USA. The drill features through-coolant capability (visible coolant hole at the tip) and is coated with a multi-layer TiAlN (TIAIN) physical vapor deposition coating, which provides high heat resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. The straight shank is uncoated for positive chuck grip, and the drill ships in Allied Machine's standard protective plastic tube with a retention stand. The ASC 320 series is designed for CNC machining centers and drill presses requiring tight-tolerance holes in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials, compatible with standard ER or hydraulic chuck toolholders accepting a straight shank of nominally 3/8 in diameter.
