The 3M 1300 is a neoprene-based, solvent-borne contact adhesive formulated for bonding rubber, gasket materials, and metal substrates, available here new in the 5 fl oz (148 mL) tube. This adhesive delivers high immediate strength upon contact bond formation and is fast-drying, making it suited for production and maintenance applications where rapid handling is required. It meets the requirements of military specification MIL-M-81298, qualifying it for demanding aerospace and defense maintenance applications. The yellow-colored formula is applied to both mating surfaces, allowed to dry, then joined under contact pressure; it exhibits heat resistance suitable for rubber-to-metal bonds including gaskets, weatherstripping, and insulation materials. The tube format provides controlled dispensing for field repair and shop use.
