This is a new, unused roll of 3M 5480 PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) Skived Film Tape measuring 3 inches wide by 36 yards (32.9 m) long, as confirmed by both the printed label and the core markings reading '3M 5480 HO 23277-02.' The tape features a skived (precision-shaved) PTFE film backing with a silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive, providing a smooth, non-stick surface with excellent chemical resistance across a broad pH range and a continuous service temperature range of -100°F to +500°F (-73°C to +260°C). PTFE's inherently low coefficient of friction (static: ~0.08) makes this tape well-suited for lining chutes, slides, hoppers, and conveyor guides, wrapping mandrels, protecting heat-sealing bars, and anywhere a non-stick, chemically inert barrier surface is required. The translucent brown film is electrically non-conductive and offers outstanding resistance to solvents, fuels, and most industrial chemicals. Made in the USA.
