This is a new 4-inch (100mm) twin-sphere flanged rubber expansion joint constructed with EPDM elastomer, designed to absorb vibration, thermal expansion, contraction, and misalignment in piping systems. The flanges are stamped 4" ASA/ANSI 125/150, confirming compatibility with both ANSI Class 125 and Class 150 flat-face and raised-face flanges at 4-inch nominal pipe size; the metal retaining ring at the sphere junction is visible and provides structural integrity between the two convolutions. The EPDM rubber body is reinforced with fabric cord plies visible as the grid pattern on the sphere surface, suitable for water, steam (lower pressure), HVAC, chemical process, and municipal water service where EPDM chemical resistance is appropriate. Lead-free construction is certified in accordance with NSF/ANSI 372, making this joint suitable for potable water applications. Control units (limit rods) are not included and are recommended per label instructions when piping is not fully anchored.
