This 20-piece single-end end mill set, item 723-2520, is made from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and has a bright, uncoated finish. It includes ten diameters from 3/16 in to 3/4 in, each in a 2-flute and a 4-flute style, and every cutter is center cutting so it can plunge as well as side mill. The square-end cutters are single ended and are suited to slotting, profiling and pocketing on milling machines. M42 is an 8% cobalt grade known for red hardness and wear resistance when cutting stainless steels, alloy steels and other tough materials. The set is supplied new in a fitted wooden storage box, with each end mill seated in a labeled holder block that marks its size and flute count.
