This is a new Accupro 42515874 solid carbide square-end mill with a .030 in corner radius, 5-flute geometry, and ALTiCrN (aluminum titanium chromium nitride) PVD coating. Dimensions are 1/4 in cutting diameter x 1/4 in shank diameter x 3/4 in length of cut x 2-1/2 in overall length. The 5-flute SEEM (square end, extra-long reach) design provides higher feed rates and improved surface finish compared to 4-flute equivalents, and the ALTiCrN coating delivers superior hardness, oxidation resistance to approximately 1100°C, and extended tool life in hardened steels, stainless, and aerospace alloys. The 1/4 in straight shank is compatible with standard ER16/ER20 collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic chucks with 1/4 in bore.
