The Advance by Signify 71A8753-001 is a new, SAF-T-PLUS Core & Coil HID replacement ballast kit rated for 1,000W High Pressure Sodium (HPS) lamps with ANSI lamp code S52, operating on 120/208/240/277/480V AC at 60Hz in a Constant Wattage Autotransformer (CWA) circuit configuration. The kit includes the pre-wired core and coil transformer, a pre-wired Lamp Ignitor (labeled LI-875-P on the ignitor body), a CDE run capacitor rated 26µF at 480V, mounting brackets, hardware, and installation instructions — everything required for a complete in-fixture ballast replacement. Automatic resetting thermostats are built into the ballast to protect against component overheating during lamp failure events; after a thermal shutdown, the ballast will automatically restore power once cooled, which may require up to two hours. This RoHS-compliant kit is UL-listed and assembled in China by Signify (formerly Philips Lighting), suitable for replacement in commercial and industrial HPS high-bay, streetlight, and area lighting fixtures originally equipped with S52-rated 1000W lamps.
