The Allied Machine & Engineering 7C213P-.546AS is a new, replaceable-tip carbide drill insert from the GEN3SYS XT platform, specifically engineered for stainless steel machining (the "AS" suffix designates the Stainless geometry). The insert cuts a diameter of 35/64" (0.5469" / 13.89mm) and is manufactured from AM300® carbide grade — a C2 (K20) uncoated carbide — with the copper/bronze-toned PVD TiN-family coating visible in the photos providing enhanced lubricity and wear resistance on austenitic and ferritic stainless steels.
