The Aloris CA-1 is a No. 1 Turning & Facing Holder in Aloris's CA Series quick-change toolpost system, manufactured in the USA at Aloris Tool Technology Co. in Clifton, NJ (since 1946). It is machined from hardened steel with a black oxide finish and is designed to accept tool bits up to 1 in. square or round shank, fitting lathes with 14–20 in. swing that use a CA Series quick-change toolpost. The holder features a knurled-thumb-screw height-adjustment mechanism with a locking nut, four tool-clamping set screws visible along the top, and precision-ground dovetail ways on the back face that engage directly with the CA Series toolpost for repeatable tool positioning. Overall dimensions are 2-1/2 in. height × 4-1/2 in. length; the holder is sold new in original Aloris packaging (part number CA-1, box label 09060237-026).
