The Aloris CA-4D is a new boring bar and round-shank tool holder designed for the Aloris CA-series (size CA) quick-change tool post system, compatible with lathes having 14 to 20-inch swing. The body is machined from hardened steel with a black oxide finish, featuring a split-clamp bore that accepts round-shank boring bars and is secured by a knurled thumb-screw and hex locknut assembly visible in the photos, allowing tool height micro-adjustment without removing the holder from the post. The dovetail top slide engages directly with the CA-size quick-change post, and two socket-head cap screws (visible on the top face) lock the holder in position for rigid, repeatable tool positioning during internal turning, boring, and threading operations. Manufactured in the USA as marked on the body, the CA-4D is the direct Aloris OEM replacement for this holder style and is not a third-party copy.
