The Aloris CXA-20 is a new, American-made quick-change lathe toolholder in the CXA series, designed specifically to accept carbide triangular (trigon/triangle) inserts for turning operations on mid-to-large lathes with swing capacities typically ranging from 12 to 17 inches. The CXA dovetail interface uses Aloris's CRT-20 cam-lock mechanism — clearly marked on the rocker and visible in the photos — which provides repeatable tool height positioning without indicating when swapping holders on a compatible Aloris CXA or equivalent wedge-style quick-change tool post. The holder body is hardened steel with a black oxide finish, manufactured by Aloris Tool Technology Co., Inc. (Clifton, NJ, since 1946) to close tolerances, and accepts standard triangular carbide insert tooling for facing, turning, and profiling applications on manual and CNC engine lathes.
