The Armstrong Model FTV 12FA is a new, 12-inch hard-flanged, angle-pattern Flo-Trex combination valve designed for HVAC hydronic systems — specifically for pump discharge service where it simultaneously performs the functions of a silent check valve, calibrated balance valve, and flow measurement device in a single compact body. The nameplate confirms product code 570200-483, a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI, and a maximum temperature of 300°F, and the unit ships with its original Armstrong Installation & Operating Instructions (File No. 35.81, dated May 5, 2008) and an Armstrong Conformity Certificate. The FTV angle-pattern (FA suffix) directs flow 90° from inlet to outlet, making it ideal for end-suction pump installations where piping turns at the pump; the brass flow-measurement fitting (Pete's plug) visible on the body allows direct differential-pressure measurement for balancing without additional instrumentation.
