The Armstrong SG-108 (P/N 516860-029) is a new, cast iron pump suction guide designed to condition turbulent flow entering a centrifugal pump suction flange, significantly reducing cavitation, vibration, and bearing wear. Model SG-108 is sized for 8-inch, ANSI Class 125 (ASME B16.1) flanged connections with a maximum allowable working pressure of 175 PSI and a maximum operating temperature of 300°F, making it suitable for HVAC heating and cooling systems, chilled water loops, condenser water circuits, and other hydronic piping applications. The unit incorporates internal flow-conditioning vanes that straighten flow and eliminate pre-swirl before it reaches the pump impeller, and includes vent and drain ports (plugged) as visible in the photos; the tag number 516860-029 and order reference 508283-000 are confirmed directly from the nameplate and product label, with a manufacture date code of 0522 (May 2022).
