The ATI Advanced Tooling ATI-APTEX-3804 is a new, solid carbide (CB) 6-flute lollipop-style undercutting end mill with a 3/4 in (0.750 in) ball diameter, a 5/16 in neck diameter, 3/4 in effective cutting length, and a 3/4 in straight shank, all confirmed directly from the label. The overall assembled length is 4 inches as encoded in the part number (3/4 x .716 x 4), and the .716 in figure represents the ball diameter dimension used in ATI's APTEX series designation. The lollipop/undercutting geometry — spherical cutting head on a reduced neck — is purpose-built for undercutting, back-milling, and contouring operations such as machining T-slots, dovetail reliefs, and undercut profiles in molds, dies, and aerospace structural components. The tool exhibits a dark physical vapor deposition (PVD)-style coating visible in the photos, consistent with ATI's APTEX-series AlTiN or TiAlN treatment for extended tool life in steel, stainless, and hardened materials. Compatible with any 3/4 in ER, Weldon, or hydraulic toolholder accepting a straight shank.
