The Baldwin PE17000 is a new, cartridge-style Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF/AdBlue) filter designed to remove particulate contamination from SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems, protecting DEF dosing pumps and injectors from abrasive particles and crystalline urea deposits. The filter element uses cellulose media with black plastic end caps and a snap-in base, with an outside diameter of 1-3/4 in and a length of 3-23/32 in as printed on the packaging label. The kit includes the replacement filter element, a rubber removal/installation pull tool, a plastic fork-style removal tool, and a multilingual instruction sheet that directs the technician to insert the pull tool through the center of the filter and lift to extract it from the DEF tank or canister. Baldwin Filters (a Parker Hannifin brand) manufactures this element to protect SCR systems on diesel equipment fitted with DEF filtration canisters requiring the PE17000 element, including select agricultural, construction, and on-highway diesel platforms.
