The Baldwin Filters PF7984 is a new cartridge-style diesel fuel filter element designed for use in bowl/housing-style filtration systems on heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment. The element features a pleated cellulose/synthetic blend media housed between molded plastic end caps, with a closed bottom end cap and an open top end cap with center tube inlet; the kit includes two O-ring seals (one large housing O-ring and one smaller center tube O-ring) for a complete service replacement. Nominal outside diameter is 3-3/4 in and inside diameter is 1-1/16 in; the filter is manufactured in Mexico and carries Baldwin's standard heavy-duty diesel filtration specification for water separation and particulate removal. Cross-references include Fleetguard FS19533, Donaldson P550934, and WIX 33117 among others, and the PF7984 is commonly applied to Cummins ISX, ISM, and ISL diesel engines found in Class 6–8 trucks and stationary power equipment.
