This is a factory-new lot of 4 Besly (Regal Cutting Tools) model T216TF / part number 28648 Letter D TurboFlute Taper Length HSS drill bits, as confirmed by the package label and shank markings visible in the photos. Letter D corresponds to a diameter of 0.2460 in (6.248 mm), and the Taper Length series provides a longer flute and overall length than jobber drills — typically 4-3/4 in flute length and 7-1/8 in overall length for this size — giving added reach for deeper hole applications while retaining a straight shank. The TurboFlute (TurboFL / TPR) geometry features a high-helix, parabolic-flute design that dramatically improves chip evacuation, reduces heat buildup, and allows higher feed rates compared to standard twist drills, making these bits well-suited for aluminum, soft steels, plastics, and other materials that generate long, stringy chips.
