The Bessey Erdi D39ASSL is a new, German-made 9-inch (230 mm) aviation-style compound-action tin snip designed for right-hand cutting of straight lines and right curves in sheet metal. The blades are drop-forged and hardened high-carbon steel with a black oxide finish, precision ground and serrated to grip sheet metal and prevent slipping during the cut. The compound-action pivot mechanism multiplies hand force, reducing operator fatigue during extended use, and the tool features an ergonomic two-component handle (red/black) with a moulded safety lock-open catch visible in the photos. The D39ASSL cuts up to 1.2 mm (18 ga) mild steel, 0.8 mm stainless steel, and 1.5 mm aluminum sheet, making it suited for HVAC ductwork, roofing, automotive bodywork, and sheet-metal fabrication where right/straight cuts are required. This snip complies with DIN ISO 9001 manufacturing standards and is backed by the Bessey Erdi lifetime warranty.
