This Brubaker 23277-00-B is a metric spiral point (gun) tap in M20x2.5 thread size with a D7 pitch diameter limit, made of high speed steel (HSS) and marked HSS on the shank. It has 4 flutes and a straight square-drive shank. The spiral point (SPPT) design pushes chips ahead of the tap, which suits through-hole tapping. The designation on the label ends in P, indicating a plug chamfer. Made in USA by Brubaker of Millersburg, PA, and offered here new.
