The Canfield Connector 710-000-004 is a new, factory-packaged normally open (N.O.) SPST reed switch designed for position sensing on tie-rod pneumatic cylinders with 2 to 6-inch bore diameters. The compact black overmolded housing mounts directly into the T-slot or tie-rod groove of compatible cylinders and includes integrated LED status indication and MOV (metal oxide varistor) transient voltage suppression for load protection. Rated 5–240V AC/DC, 30W, 1A maximum, the switch operates across a wide voltage range suitable for both AC and DC control circuits. The 2-wire hookup uses color-coded leads — black (–) and red (+) — terminated in stripped, tinned wire ends for direct field wiring without a connector. The gray PVC-jacketed cable provides chemical and abrasion resistance in typical industrial pneumatic environments.
