The CDI Torque Products 401SP-CDI is a new, USA-made preset torque screwdriver with a 4–40 in·lb torque range and a 1/4 in female hex bit drive, confirmed directly from the tool body markings and package label. As a Snap-on Company brand, CDI manufactures this screwdriver to ASME B107.300 standards; the preset clutch mechanism delivers an audible and tactile click at the set torque value, then releases to prevent overtorque — making it well suited for electronics assembly, medical device assembly, aerospace fastening, and any application where repeatable low-torque fastening is critical. The torque setting is adjustable within the 4–40 in·lb range via the included hex key (Allen wrench), which engages an internal adjustment mechanism; a tamper-resistant set screw locks the setting once established.
