The Ceratizit KUB-C.ZP.6.HSS TIN (Ceratizit item 10 862 00600) is a new, 6mm diameter, 6-flute HSS (high-speed steel) countersink with a TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating, manufactured in Poland. The KUB-C designation indicates a countersink from Ceratizit's KUB line; "ZP" denotes a multi-flute (6-flute) geometry optimized for clean, chatter-free chamfering and countersinking in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and plastics. The TiN coating — visible as the bright gold finish across the cutting head in the photos — increases surface hardness to approximately 2300 HV, reduces friction, and extends tool life versus uncoated HSS. The straight (cylindrical) shank, uncoated at the rear, is compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 6mm shank. This tool is suited for deburring, chamfering drilled holes, and producing 90° countersink profiles on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines.
