Chicago-Latrobe Series 150 (List 150) jobber-length twist drill bits, item number 44008, are 1/8 in diameter M42 cobalt high-speed steel (8% Co) drills supplied in a factory pack of 12 new bits. M42 cobalt HSS delivers superior red-hardness and heat resistance compared to standard M2 HSS, making these bits well-suited for drilling stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, titanium, and other hard or abrasive ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The gold/bronze surface finish visible in the photos is characteristic of the cobalt alloy itself (not a coating), and the standard jobber-length geometry provides the rigidity and flute length required for general-purpose production drilling. These bits accept any standard 3-jaw drill chuck and are manufactured to ANSI B94.11M jobber-length tolerances.
