Chicago-Latrobe 54127 1-13mm x0.5mm 135° 25pc Cobalt Jobber Drill Set

The Chicago-Latrobe 550 Series 54127 is a new, 25-piece M42 cobalt high-speed steel jobber-length drill bit set ranging from 1.00 mm to 13.00 mm in 0.5 mm increments, manufactured in the USA and distributed under the Walter/Chicago-Latrobe brand. Each drill features a 135° split-point geometry that enables self-centering without a pilot hole and reduces thrust force when drilling hard and abrasive materials such as stainless steel, titanium, cast iron, and hardened alloys. The bronze oxide surface treatment reduces friction and provides modest corrosion resistance, while the M42 cobalt steel substrate (8% Co) delivers superior red hardness and wear resistance compared to standard M2 HSS. Bits have straight (cylindrical) shanks compatible with standard drill chucks and are ground to jobber-length proportions per DIN 338 / ASME B94.11M. The set is housed in a metal index case with labeled slots identifying each size from 1.0 mm through 13.0 mm.
