The Cleveland C12297 is a new, USA-made 1-13/32 in (1.40625 in) high-speed steel taper shank twist drill from the 2410/940 series, featuring a black oxide finish for corrosion resistance and reduced friction during chip evacuation. The drill is ground to a standard 118° included point angle with a conventional two-flute geometry suited for drilling ferrous and non-ferrous metals in production and job-shop environments. The Morse Taper shank (MT4, standard for this diameter range) seats directly into compatible taper-shank spindles, drill press quills, or lathe tailstocks without an adapter chuck, providing rigidity for large-diameter hole-making. Cleveland's 2410/940 designation indicates a heavy-duty, black oxide–treated HSS construction manufactured to ANSI B94.11M standards. This drill ships in its original OEM plastic case, unopened and unused.
