The Dapra HFEM050-150-R2-1 is a new, USA-made indexable ball nose end mill from Dapra's HFEM (High Feed End Mill) series, featuring a 1/2 in (0.500 in) cutting diameter, 1-1/2 in (1.500 in) length of cut, 2-flute configuration, and a 2 mm ball nose insert radius (R2). The body accepts a single round carbide insert secured with a Torx-style clamp screw (Dapra screw TRS-8 as stamped on the body), and the shank incorporates through-coolant capability via internal passages visible at the tip. The straight shank design (cylindrical with drive flat) suits standard end mill toolholders and collet chucks; the larger-diameter shank collar provides additional rigidity for deep-reach applications in steel, stainless, and alloy materials. Inserts are not included with the body; compatible round inserts from Dapra's HFEM series (R2 size) are required separately.
