Dayton 1LPU5A 1/2 HP 31 RPM Split-Phase ODP AC Gearmotor

The Dayton 1LPU5A is a new fractional AC gearmotor combining a split-phase, open drip-proof (ODP) AC motor with an integral parallel shaft gear reducer, delivering 31 RPM output speed and up to 800 in-lb of maximum torque from a 1/2 HP motor running at 115V, 60 Hz, single-phase. The gearbox uses a 46:1 gear ratio (visible on the nameplate as 46:1) and outputs through a 3/4 in (19 mm) diameter shaft supported by permanently lubricated ball bearings; the unit mounts via a base/foot mounting configuration with an integral mounting foot on the gearbox housing. Insulation is Class B (130°C rated), ambient temperature rating is 40°C, and the service factor is 1.0; the motor stator is a Leeson-wound OEM unit (model 5KH42HN0812F, Leeson part 150-541-1003) as confirmed by the visible inner motor nameplate. This gearmotor is suited for conveyor drives, mixer drives, packaging equipment, and other low-speed, high-torque industrial applications requiring single-phase AC power; it ships with the original Dayton installation, maintenance, and warranty documentation.
