The Dayton 5NKN6 is a new 25-inch CWV (Cabinet Wall Vent) gravity-operated aluminum wall mount supply shutter damper, manufactured in the USA for Dayton Electric Mfg. Co., Lake Forest, IL. The unit features a flanged aluminum frame with horizontal gravity-actuated louver blades that open under positive airflow and close by gravity when the fan is off, preventing backdrafts and weather infiltration. At 25 inches (63.5 cm), this shutter is designed to pair with matching 25 in. cabinet-mount exhaust or supply fans in industrial, commercial, and agricultural ventilation applications. The louvered blade assembly is visible on the front face with a mitered frame construction, and the rear view shows the blade pivot linkage with galvanized hardware. Installation instructions included with the unit cover compatibility with Dayton fan models including sizes 5VNT1, 5VNT7, 5VNT8, 5VNTS, and 6FN32 series as noted on the instruction sheet visible in the photos.
