The Dixon PHL8 is a new, dual-lock (locking-sleeve) pneumatic air hose coupler in the "Thor" or "National Type A" interchange series, fitted with a 1/2 in hose barb end for push-on air hose attachment without clamps. The body is zinc-die-cast steel with a bright zinc plating visible in the photos; the coupler half features four symmetrical jaw lugs machined into a stamped steel collar that engage a mating nipple with a quarter-turn, while a knurled locking sleeve — visible in all photos — must be retracted to connect or disconnect, preventing accidental uncoupling under pressure. The rubber face seal (clearly visible in the front-face photo) provides an air-tight shutoff when mated, and the hose barb shank accepts 1/2 in ID rubber or thermoplastic air hose. This coupler is interchangeable with Dixon Thor series nipples, Lincoln, and other National Type A style fittings widely used in pneumatic tool, compressor, and production-line air circuits rated to approximately 300 PSI working pressure.
