The Dorian 73310136002 is a precision tap collet closer (DST-SHO-60) designed for secure retention and release of tapping tooling in spindle-mounted applications. This new unit features a red powder-coated malleable iron body with integral steel base plate, a pull-to-release ball knob mechanism on the side, and a hollow cylindrical collet cavity for accepting standard taper shank or modular tap extensions. The closer provides positive collet grip without marring tool shanks and is compatible with spindle tapers and pull-relief cycles common in CNC and manual tapping operations.
