The Dorian MCLNL16-4D is a new, Made in USA clamp-and-pin style indexable turning toolholder with a 1 x 1 in square shank and 6 in overall length, designed to accept CNMG-432 style inserts (80° diamond, negative rake). The holder uses a top-clamp (CL-20) and lock-pin (NL-46) retention system with a seat of ICSN-433, clamp screw XNS-45, and gage insert CNMG-432, all clearly stamped on the body. The left-hand (L) cutting direction and 95° lead angle geometry make this holder suited for longitudinal turning and facing operations on manual or CNC lathes where approach from the left side of the workpiece is required. The steel body carries a black oxide finish for corrosion resistance.
