This is a new Dormer A402 M6 HSS subland (step) drill bit manufactured in Germany to DIN 8376, with a 180° point angle and black oxide (steam tempered) finish as indicated by the 'ST' designation on the packaging label. The A402 is Dormer's subland drill designed to drill a clearance hole and countersink or counterbore in a single pass, specifically configured for M6 metric screw clearance applications. Constructed from HSS (high-speed steel), the black oxide surface treatment provides corrosion resistance and a mild reduction in friction during cutting.
