The Extech 407732 is a new, handheld digital sound level meter meeting ANSI and IEC Type 2 SLM standards, covering two selectable measurement ranges: Lo (35–100 dB) and Hi (65–130 dB), as printed directly on the instrument face. It features A and C frequency weighting, Fast/Slow response modes, a MAX HOLD function, and a backlit LCD display, with a frequency response of 31.5 Hz to 8 kHz and a resolution of 0.1 dB at ±1.5 dB accuracy. The unit is powered by a single 9V battery (NEDA 1604 / IEC 6F22 / JIS 006P, included), is tripod-mountable, and carries CE and UKCA marks, making it suitable for OSHA compliance monitoring, community noise ordinance enforcement, industrial hygiene surveys, and HVAC noise measurement. Sold new in original clamshell retail packaging with the 9V battery included.
