Extech MO230 Wood & Building Material Pin-Type Moisture Meter

The Extech MO230 is a new, pin-type moisture meter that simultaneously displays moisture content in wood (0–75%), moisture in other building materials (0.1–24%), relative humidity (0–100% RH), and air temperature (-40 to 158°F / -40 to 70°C) on a large LCD with both digital readout and analog bargraph. The meter stores readings across 3 wood species groups (150 species) and 4 building material groups (19 types), making it suited for flooring inspection, construction site surveys, HVAC commissioning, and water damage assessment. Powered by three CR-2032 button-cell batteries (included), the MO230 ships complete with a protective cap and replacement moisture pins; it is manufactured by FLIR Systems under the Extech Instruments brand (Grainger part 6YNG3 noted on packaging).
