The unit uses a multi-stage filtration system: a pre-filter stage visible on the front panel (Z-Line series pleated panel filter) and a rear-stage true HEPA filter — part number MAGGB1212A5AX (Magna 1000 Series, 12.0 x 12.0 x 6.0 in, 99.97% efficiency at 0.3 micron) with replacement filter RF-987-HEPA — housed in a galvanized metal box frame with standard cap gasket seal. Air is drawn downward through the top exhaust grille by a direct-drive blower motor visible in the interior cavity, with a variable-speed control knob mounted on the side panel; the unit rolls on chrome ball-style leveling feet and ships with the Owner's Manual.
