The Follett CARBONSTDCAPFILTER is a new OEM standard-capacity carbon water filter cartridge designed for commercial Follett ice and chilled-water dispensing equipment, replacing every 6 months per the label. It employs multi-level carbon filtration to reduce chlorine, taste, odor, and cysts (Cryptosporidium, Giardia) by mechanical means, and removes 99.9% of all particles 0.5 micron and larger — including microplastics — at low pressure drops across the filter. Scale inhibition chemistry protects ice machine internal components from scale damage, reducing energy consumption and service costs; the filter also incorporates silver-based antimicrobial protection of key water-contact components. Rated at 1.67 gpm (6.32 lpm) flow rate, 10–125 psi (0.7–8.5 bar) operating pressure, up to 5,000 gallon capacity (based on water conditions), and a 35–100°F (2–38°C) temperature range; NSF/ANSI Standard 42 certified for chlorine/taste/odor and Standard 53 certified for cysts, and Standard 58 listed for microplastics. For commercial applications only — not for residential use.
