The Fowler 53-422-006-2 is a new 6-inch precision machinist spirit level with a sensitivity of 0.0002 in/10 in (approximately 0.002 mm/m), suitable for leveling and aligning machine tools, surface plates, and precision equipment. The level features a hardened and ground cast iron base that provides stable contact with machined surfaces, with the main vial graduated in both leveling and cross-leveling axes. Supplied new in a fitted wooden storage case with a metal latch, consistent with Fowler's standard packaging for precision inspection tools. The 0.0002 in/10 in graduation makes this instrument appropriate for precision alignment tasks where angular deviation must be held to fractions of a thousandth per foot, such as aligning lathe beds, milling machine tables, and surface grinders.
