The Fraisa H15851605 is a new solid carbide roughing end mill (also known as a "corn cob" or ripper end mill) with a 0.6250 in (5/8 in) cutting diameter and 2.500 in length of cut, ground from submicron-grain tungsten carbide and identified on the shank as "HM XA dd" — where HM denotes the solid carbide (Hartmetall) substrate, XA is Fraisa's high-performance AlCrN-based PVD coating optimized for hardened steels and stainless, and "dd" designates the double-wave (double-cut) chipbreaker geometry that splits chips and reduces cutting forces. The serrated/wave chipbreaker profile on all flutes allows aggressive stock removal in a single pass with significantly lower radial load compared to a standard end mill, making it well-suited for roughing operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hardened materials on CNC machining centers. The cylindrical shank is compatible with standard ER collets, hydraulic chucks, and milling chucks sized for 5/8 in (0.6250 in) bore; the tool ships new in Fraisa's standard plastic case with label confirming MPN H15851605 and ⌀0.6250/2.500 dimensions.
