Fraisa P5979605 5/8in 4-Flute Solid Carbide Roughing End Mill

The Fraisa P5979605 is a new solid carbide roughing end mill (also known as a "corncob" or serrated-flute end mill) with a 5/8 in (0.6250 in) cutting diameter and 1.250 in length of cut, as read directly from the label. Fraisa's P-series roughing end mills are ground from ultra-fine grain carbide substrate and feature a serrated/notched chip-splitting geometry on the flute lands that breaks chips into small segments, dramatically reducing cutting forces and enabling aggressive radial and axial depths of cut versus a standard end mill. The tool carries a bright (uncoated) finish, consistent with Fraisa's standard P-series offering for aluminum, non-ferrous alloys, and general-purpose steel roughing applications. The cylindrical shank is sized at 5/8 in for direct clamping in standard ER, Weldon, or milling chuck toolholders of the same bore. This end mill is supplied new in the original Fraisa plastic tube packaging.
