The Fraisa X7204180 is a new solid carbide taper-neck ball nose end mill with a 3.00 mm cutting diameter, 4.00 mm cylindrical shank, and a 0.500 mm ball nose radius (r0.5), as confirmed directly from the package label (ø3.00/4.00 r0.500). Fraisa's X72 series is engineered for finishing and semi-finishing of complex 3D contours, molds, and dies, with the reduced-neck profile providing clearance for deep-cavity and steep-wall machining while the larger 4 mm shank delivers rigidity in ER or collet-style toolholders. The tool features Fraisa's fine-grain solid carbide substrate and a dark PVD coating visible on the flutes, providing elevated hardness and thermal resistance suited for hardened steels, tool steels, stainless steels, and high-temperature alloys. The ball nose geometry generates smooth scallop-free surfaces in 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centers, and the taper neck geometry is critical for undercutting and deep-rib applications where straight-neck tools would not clear the workpiece walls.
