The Fullerton Tool WD154680751M is a new solid carbide spotting / centering drill from Fullerton's ALTER 1545 series, measuring 3/8 in (0.375 in) body diameter with a 1.250 in flute length and 3-flute geometry, finished with a TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating as encoded in the label text "ALTER 1545.375X1.250X3,82,TIN." The 82° included point angle produces a precisely sized, accurate seat for standard 82° countersunk fasteners and serves as a spotting drill for subsequent twist or carbide drill operations, preventing walking on flat or curved surfaces. The TiN coating increases surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in steel, aluminum, cast iron, and non-ferrous materials; the 3-flute design provides superior rigidity and chip evacuation compared to 2-flute alternatives. This tool is manufactured in the USA by Fullerton Tool Company (Saginaw, MI) and is compatible with standard drill chucks, collet chucks (ER, TG, DA series), and hydraulic toolholders accepting a 3/8 in straight shank.
