Garr 50626 V4-R 5/16x2-1/2 .010CR 4FL AlCrN Carbide Corner Radius End Mill

The Garr Tool 50626 is a new, solid carbide 4-flute corner radius end mill from the V4-R series, ground to a 5/16 in (0.3125 in) cutting diameter with a 0.010 in corner radius, 13/16 in flute length, and 2-1/2 in overall length. The tool is manufactured from submicron-grain carbide and features a full AlCrN (Aluminum Chromium Nitride) PVD coating, which provides superior oxidation resistance and hardness at elevated temperatures compared to standard TiAlN coatings, making it well-suited for dry and high-speed machining of hardened steels, stainless steels, titanium alloys, and Inconel. The shank includes a Weldon flat for positive drive in Weldon-style end mill holders and side-lock toolholders, and the 5/16 in shank diameter is compatible with standard ER collets and milling chucks of the same bore size. The corner radius geometry reduces corner chipping, improves workpiece surface finish, and extends tool life in slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations.
