The Garr Tool 78426 is a new solid carbide stub-length drill from Garr's 1120H series, designed specifically for use with HLUBE (hole-lubrication) through-tool coolant delivery. It is a #14 wire gauge drill with a decimal equivalent of 0.1820" diameter, featuring an uncommon 3-flute geometry that increases the core strength and improves chip evacuation in short-chipping materials. The black oxide surface finish visible on the flutes is consistent with Garr's standard treatment for this series, reducing built-up edge in softer alloys and non-ferrous materials. Stub-length geometry provides maximum rigidity for close-tolerance hole location in materials such as aluminum, brass, and plastics where a 3-flute design excels; the round shank is compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders sized for a #14 / 0.1820" shank. Made in the USA at Garr Tool's Alma, MI facility, this drill is sold new in the original plastic vial packaging.
