The Gibraltar 428-1079 is a new pair of aluminum soft vise jaws designed to protect finished workpieces during clamping in 6" jaw-width vises, including Anglock-style machine vises. Each jaw measures 6" wide × 2" high × 2" thick with a flat, no-step face profile and two countersunk through-holes for mounting fasteners. The aluminum construction provides soft contact that will not mar or scratch hardened, ground, or precision-machined surfaces, making these jaws suited for second-operation work, inspection setups, and finishing passes where workpiece integrity must be preserved. The flat jaw face is machined smooth on the clamping surface, and the countersunk holes allow flush or sub-flush fastener seating so the hardware does not interfere with workpiece contact. Sold as a matched set of two jaws (fixed jaw pair), these replacements are compatible with 6" Anglock and comparable machine vise models that accept bolt-on soft jaw inserts of this footprint.
